Introduction

Welcome to Playbridge! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Playbridge platform, website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Account Registration

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Playbridge. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent. By registering, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

1.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Keeping your account information up to date

1.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

2. User Conduct

When using Playbridge, you agree NOT to:

• Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your credentials
• Share inappropriate content (explicit, violent, hateful)
• Spam, solicit, or advertise without permission
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise platform security
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer our Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

3. Coach-Specific Terms

3.1 Verification Requirements

All coaches must:

• Complete identity verification
• Pass a comprehensive background check
• Provide valid certifications (if applicable)
• Maintain current insurance coverage
• Comply with all applicable licensing requirements

3.2 Coach Responsibilities

Coaches agree to:

• Provide accurate information about qualifications and experience
• Honor scheduled sessions or provide adequate notice of cancellations
• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Comply with safety guidelines and best practices
• Report any safety concerns or incidents
• Respect athlete boundaries and privacy

3.3 Payments and Fees

Coaches set their own rates. Playbridge charges a service fee on each transaction (currently 15-20% depending on subscription tier). Payments are processed securely and disbursed according to the payment schedule.

4. Athlete and Parent Terms

4.1 Booking and Payments

• Sessions must be booked through the platform
• Payment is required at time of booking or as agreed with coach
• Cancellation policies vary by coach; review before booking
• Refunds are subject to cancellation policy and platform guidelines

4.2 Safety and Supervision

While we verify all coaches, parents/guardians are ultimately responsible for their child's safety. We recommend:

• Reviewing coach profiles and ratings thoroughly
• Meeting coaches before first session
• Supervising minors during training sessions
• Communicating any concerns immediately

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Platform Content

Playbridge owns all rights to the platform, including design, logos, trademarks, software, and content. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, videos, text). However, by posting content, you grant Playbridge a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for platform operations and marketing.

6. Liability and Disclaimers

6.1 Platform as Marketplace

Playbridge is a marketplace connecting athletes with coaches. We do not employ coaches, supervise training sessions, or guarantee outcomes. Coaches are independent contractors responsible for their own services.

6.2 No Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Specific coaching results or athletic improvements
• Coach qualifications or performance (beyond our verification process)
• Compatibility with all devices or software

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Playbridge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

6.4 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Playbridge harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.

7. Dispute Resolution

7.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with another user, we encourage you to resolve it directly. If unresolved, contact our support team for mediation assistance.

7.2 Arbitration

Any disputes with Playbridge shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to participate in class actions.

7.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
